Are YOU Using Icinga?

Today we have over 17.000 downloads at Sourceforge. We all enjoy the great and growing feedback on Icinga and would like to introduce YOU, the Icinga-Users to each other.

To make this happen, we would like you to send (info at icinga.org) us your story. Tell us about your reasons and experiences using Icinga and what you are doing with it.

If possible please include the following information:

  • Your Name
  • Your Company
  • Some words on you experience
  • Your Logo if possible

At the moment we are working hard on the next release, so stay tuned!

Keep up the good work! Only one question, how can I add link to Netways grapherV2 in icinga-web(in service row)? Can’t find any docs about that.
    Thanks in advance

  • Hi hi.

This is possible, of course ;-). Take a look in app/modules/Cronks/data/xml/grid/icinga-host-template.xml and search for “External link example”.

The problem is that we don’t know if a service has charts. This is why we link only from host. The example is not grapher specific, but you can build every link you want away from the grids.

    Kind regards,
    Marius.

Thanks, but if I want to make link for some of services not for all?

Impossible to change my nagios systems. It doen’t work on Solaris (core dump on start)

  • I use it since few days for my private infrastructure (about 15 host, 3 routers and 4 firewalls) and it fully fits my claims. :-)

Btw: A simple matrix with the differences between Nagios and Icinga would be nice. (Yes, i saw the Youtube video ;-))

And did you plan commercial support?

  • At the moment there is no complete matrix available but we’re working on that.

There are commercial support plans available, but no official Icinga partner program
